Share your meal plan

A shared meal plan is a link to a few days of your plan. Anyone you send it to sees the meals, with no account and nothing to install.

  1. 1

    Open Share meal plan

On the Plan page, click the share icon in the top right. On a phone, tap the ⋯ menu, then Share meal plan.

You'll see: A window called Shared meal plans opens.

  2. 2

    Tap Create a shareable link

Links you made before are listed below this button.

You'll see: A short form opens.

  3. 3

    Fill in the form

Give the plan a Title, such as “Dinners, week of the 12th”. A Description (optional) is a good place for a note to the person reading it. Change From and To to the days you want to show.

You'll see: The dates start today and run for a week.

  4. 4

    Tap Create link

A title and a date range are required. The end date cannot come before the start date, and a link can cover at most 90 days.

You'll see: The link appears in the list and is copied for you.

Send it#

  1. 1

Copy, open or manage the link

Each link has a row of buttons. Copy link copies the address to paste into a message. View opens the page in a new tab so you can see what others see. The eye turns the link off or on while you keep it, and the bin deletes it. The small number counts views.

You'll see: Copy link changes to Copied for a moment.

What they see#

The page shows your title, the dates, the description and your display name, plus your @handle if you chose a username (see Your public profile). The name shows whether or not your profile is public. Under it come the days one by one, with each meal’s photo, short description and times. A List and Grid switch changes the layout, and a button at the top lets them copy the link too. They cannot change anything.

Private recipes are shown too

Anyone with the link sees the name, photo and short description of each meal, including recipes you keep private. The Share window says so too. The recipes themselves stay private: nobody can open them from the plan. Pick your dates with that in mind. See Choose who sees a recipe.
The page reads your plan each time it opens. If you move a meal after sending the link, the page shows the change. It shows your own plan, the one under Mine, not a household plan.

Turn a link off or delete it#

  1. 1

    Tap the bin, then Delete

The first tap on the bin only asks. Tap Delete to confirm, or No to keep the link. To pause a link and use it again later, tap the eye instead.

You'll see: The link leaves your list and stops working.
