Free, Pro and Family
Free holds 50 recipes and 3 collections and gives you 20 AI imports a month. Pro lifts the recipe and collection caps and gives each AI feature 100 a day, except AI-made recipe photos, which are capped at 15 a month. Family is Pro for up to 6 people.

What it costs#
The plan cards show monthly prices. Switch to Annual to see yearly prices and what they save.
- Pro: $6.99 a month or $59 a year.
- Family: $11.99 a month or $99 a year.
- Free costs nothing, with no card and no expiry.
See how much you have used#
On the Free plan, two numbers matter: how many recipes you have saved, and how many AI imports you have left. Free has one pool that counts every AI action it can use: reading a link or a video, reading a photo (one per photo), scanning pantry shelves, logging a meal from a photo and the tonight suggestions on your Recipes page. Pro and Family have no shared pool. Each feature, such as link imports, photo imports or meal planning, gets its own 100 a day.
Free imports are counted in fixed 30-day windows, even though the app says this month. A window is not timed from your first import. When the current window ends, the count starts again at 20, so it can come back sooner than 30 days after you use them up. The Add recipe page shows the count and the date, for example 14 of 20 AI imports left · Resets Nov 3
, and the limit box says when your imports come back.

Open your Recipes page and scroll to the bottom
Pro and Family accounts do not see this card, because there is nothing to count against. You'll see: The Free plan card, in the panel below your recipes, shows a Recipes bar with your count out of 50, and AI imports left this month.
The same Free plan card is on the Settings page. On a phone it sits near the bottom of the account area, below Give a month, get a month. The steps to open Settings are in the free trial section below.
The bar turns a deeper red as you near 50 recipes, and the AI number turns red at 5 or fewer.
When you reach a limit#
Nothing you saved is ever deleted or hidden. RecipeClip stops the one action that went over, and tells you why.
You use all your AI imports#
Pasting a link, adding a photo or any other AI action shows You’ve used this month’s AI imports, with a line such as Your free imports are used up. Resets Nov 3 (in 12 days).
Press Maybe later to close it. You can still type a recipe in by hand, and everything you saved still works.
You pass 50 recipes or 3 collections#
- New saves stop with Your recipe box is full. A fourth collection stops with You’ve used your 3 free collections.
- If you already have more than the limit, the 50 newest recipes stay editable. Older ones show a This recipe is read-only note. You can still open, search, cook and export them.
- Editing unlocks the moment you go Pro. You can also delete recipes to come back under 50.
You tap a Pro feature#
Tools that are part of Pro, such as uploading a video, show a lock and a Pro & Family label. Pasting a TikTok, Instagram or Facebook link works on every plan.
The free trial#
First-time subscribers get 14 days free, then the normal price unless they cancel. Pro costs $6.99 a month after the trial.
