A collection is a named set of recipes, like Weeknight Dinners or Holiday Baking. A recipe can sit in several collections, and deleting a collection never deletes the recipes inside it.

Choose who can see it#
The three choices sit under the description on the collection page.
- Public: anyone can find and view it.
- Unlisted: only people with the link can open it. It is not listed anywhere.
- Private: only you can see it.
Visitors see only your public recipes
Anyone with the link to a Public or Unlisted collection sees only the recipes in it that are public. Your private recipes stay hidden, even though they are in the collection. On your own collection page you see everything, and a line says how many are hidden, for example2 of your recipes in this collection are not public, so visitors can’t see them. Make them public to show them.If the collection holds private recipes from other people, a second sentence counts those too. To show one, open the recipe and choose Make public. See Choose who sees a recipe.
- 1
Press Public, Unlisted or Private
On the Collections page there is also a quick button on each card that steps through the choices: Make public, Make unlisted, Make private. You'll see: The change applies at once, with a message such as Collection is unlisted (link only). No need to press Save.

On the Collections page, public collections also have a Share button that copies the same link. You'll see: The button says Copied for a moment. Paste the link into a message or email.

The public page shows the collection’s name, description and the cards of its public recipes. Each card opens to show the ingredients and steps. It does not show who made it, and a visitor does not need an account to read it.

Press the trash icon on the collection's card
The icon is at the right end of the card’s buttons on the Collections page. You'll see: A box asks Delete collection? and says the recipes themselves are not deleted.
- 2
Press Delete to confirm, or Cancel
You'll see: A message says Collection deleted. This cannot be undone, but every recipe is still in your library.
The Free plan limit#
The Free plan keeps up to 3 collections. Pro and Family have no limit. When you press Create collection for the fourth, a box appears instead.

If you move from Pro back to Free
Collections above the limit are kept in full but become read-only: the card says Read-only and its button says Open instead of Edit. Nothing is deleted.Common questions#
Can a recipe be in more than one collection?#
Yes. Tick it in as many as you like from its Save to collection panel.
What happens if I delete a recipe that is in a collection?#
It goes to Trash and leaves the collection’s list. See Delete and restore recipes.
Does a public collection make my private recipes public?#
No. Visitors to a Public or Unlisted collection see only the recipes that are public. A private recipe in it stays hidden from them, and filing a recipe into a collection does not publish it. See Choose who sees a recipe.
