Set what matters
Under Weeknights should take about choose 20, 30 or 45 minutes, or No rush. Under Anything you don’t eat tap diets like Vegetarian or Nut-free. Nut-free, Gluten-free and Dairy-free also work as an allergy check: recipes that list the allergen are dropped, just like allergens set in Settings. Nut-free means tree nuts and peanuts, and Gluten-free means gluten and wheat. The other chips only steer the AI. Allergies you set once belong in Settings, under Diet & allergens. For cuisines, tap once to lean in and twice to steer away. A third tap clears it. Anything else takes a short note like “no fish on Fridays”.You'll see: Your choices show in the line under the title.
- 3
Tap Generate week
It can take up to half a minute. Your settings are saved, so next time the form starts where you left it.You'll see: The button reads Generating… while it works.

Allergies and diets#
Generate week reads your diet profile from Settings (diet, allergies and dislikes) and tries to leave out recipes that list one of your allergens. The check matches your allergens against each recipe’s ingredient lines, and an AI check that also reads the steps. It can miss things, so always read labels. On Mine it uses your own profile. On Family it uses everyone in the household. Set yours first. See Diet and allergies.
- Allergens get a second check. After the week is made, every pick is checked against your allergens and those three chips, using its ingredient lines and an AI check that also reads the steps. A pick that matches is dropped and replaced from your own recipes on Mine, or from the household’s shared recipes on Family.
- Diets and dislikes are guidance. The planner leans away from them but does not guarantee it.
- If every recipe you could use has an allergen flagged, that slot stays empty and a note at the top of Your week, explained names the meals that were left out.
- A recipe whose ingredient is labelled free of your allergen is kept, not dropped, when the allergen comes from Settings. For example, with a gluten (coeliac) allergy and no wheat allergy, gluten-free flour blend stays. The Gluten-free chip is stricter, because it also means wheat: it drops that recipe. A second note,
Labelled free, not checked: check the packaging on …
, names the line and the meal. See Ingredients labelled free.
When an allergen or a diet is on file, the explanations change. Dislikes alone don’t do it. The summary and the reason on each pick become short, fixed wording, such as 3 meals planned for your week. Allergen flags are from ingredient names and AI tags — always check labels.
, instead of the usual sentences about why each meal was chosen.
This is a real run with a milk allergy and seven dinners to fill. Three were planned and four were left out, as the ringed note says. The note reads left out because of an allergen (Settings or your chips)
, whether the allergen came from Settings or from a chip. Two of the picks read Picked automatically — the model’s first choice for this slot named a household allergen.
That marks a meal chosen as a replacement for one the check removed. Fill the empty slots by hand. See Add a meal.
Always check the label
The check reads ingredient lines (and an AI check that also reads the steps), so it can miss an allergen that the recipe does not list, and it can drop a recipe it cannot check. Meals you add by hand, drag in or add from another page are never checked. Read ingredients yourself before you cook.Keep it or change it#
Generated meals are ordinary plan entries. Drag one to another day, remove it with the cross, or add your own next to it. See Move or remove a meal.
It adds, it does not replace

Common questions#
It picked meals I already ate this week. It only uses recipes you saved, so a small library repeats. The window warns you when you have fewer recipes than days.
Can it plan for my household? Yes, on Family, but it picks only from recipes shared with the household. With none shared yet it says No recipes shared with family. Share some recipes first!
Share a few, then try again. See Share a recipe with the household.
It says Couldn’t verify this week against your household’s allergens — nothing was planned. Try again.
It shows as a message that disappears after a few seconds. The allergen check could not run, so the app planned nothing rather than give you an unchecked week. Press Generate week again. If it keeps happening, plan the week by hand.
Is there a limit? Pro and Family can use each AI feature up to 100 times a day. Generating a week counts as one use of this feature.
Where is my shopping list? Make a grocery list turns the week into one list.
