Give a month, get a month

Every account has its own link. When a friend uses it to sign up and subscribes, your friend gets one month off their first payment. You get a credit worth one month of your own plan after that first real payment.

Share your link#

   Open Settings and find Give a month, get a month

   It is in the Account & plan section, under Sign-in methods. On a phone, tap your profile picture at the top right to open Settings, then scroll down. Every plan has the link, including Free.

   

   You'll see: Your personal link, which ends in a short code, is shown.

   Press Copy

   Paste the link into a message, an email or a post.

   

   You'll see: The button says Copied for a moment and a note says Referral link copied.

   Your friend opens the link and signs up

   They need to make a new account after opening your link. See Get started with RecipeClip for what they do next.

   You'll see: The offer is saved on their device until they create an account.

What your friend and you get#

• Your friend gets one month off their first payment when they subscribe through checkout. The order box shows the discount.
• You get a credit worth one month of your own plan, once your friend's first real payment goes through. The credit takes money off your next payment.

A free trial does not count as a payment. Your reward arrives after the trial ends and your friend is charged.

See who joined#

Once someone has signed up with your link, two numbers appear under the link: friends joined and free months earned. Friends joined counts everyone who signed up with your link. Free months earned counts the credits you have received.

The rules#

• The link only works for new accounts. A friend has 7 days after creating their account for it to count.
• You cannot refer yourself, including a second account that uses the same email address.
• Your reward is paid when your friend's first real payment is collected, not when they sign up.
• You can receive up to 3 rewards in any 30 days. Extra ones are kept for you and paid out later.
• If you do not have a paid plan yet, your reward is saved. It is paid out when you subscribe, one credit with each payment.

Common questions#

Where do I see my credit?#

On your next payment, which is lower by one month's price. See Payment methods and invoices. The number under free months earned goes up when a reward is paid.

My friend signed up but nothing shows.#

Friends joined counts a signup straight away. If it stays at zero, your friend may have signed up without opening your link first, or on a different device. The link has to be opened in the browser where they create the account.

How big is the reward on Family?#

One month of whichever plan you pay for, so a Family reward is worth more than a Pro one.
