Ingredients

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef (we used 85%)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons cold salted butter grated
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or any kind of cheese)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons caramelized onions
  • 1 medium tomato (sliced into 4 slices)
  • 1 cup dill pickle rounds

Steps

  1. 1

Place all of the ingredients for the burger sauce into a mixing bowl and whisk together until combined. Place the burger sauce in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

Add the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and dijon mustard to a large mixing bowl and use your hands to massage all of the ingredients together.

  3. 3

Grate the cold butter into the burger mixture and stir the butter into the burger until combined.

  4. 4

Separate the burger meat into four balls. Flatten each burger ball in-between your hands until it is about ¼ -inch thick.

  5. 5

Add the olive oil to a large cast iron skillet. When the olive oil is fragrant, add the burger patties to the pan.

  6. 6

Cook the burgers for 2-3 minutes on the first side. Flip the burger and add a slice of cheese to the top of each burger patty. Cook the burger for an additional 2-3 minutes depending on how you like your burger.

  7. 7

Remove the burger patties from the skillet and place the patties on the hamburger buns.

  8. 8

Top each patty with 2 tablespoons of burger sauce, caramelized onions, a slice of tomato, and a few dill pickle rounds. Top the burger with the top bun and enjoy.
