Preheat the grill. Set up your grill for high heat with a temperature around 400 to 450 degrees F.
Prep the avocados. Use a sharp knife to slice each avocado in half lengthwise, then remove the pit. Brush the cut side of each half with the avocado oil, then season with the Sweet Rub. The oil helps the seasoning stick and keeps the avocado from sticking to the grates.
Grill the avocados. Place the avocado halves cut-side down directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and let them cook for 3 to 5 minutes. You want the avocados to develop some nice char marks and to soften a bit without falling apart. Once you can lift your avocados easily with a spatula, they’re ready.
Finish and serve. Transfer the grilled avocados to a cutting board or serving platter, then squeeze some fresh lime juice on them and sprinkle with Kosher salt. Enjoy your grilled avocados as-is, use them for guacamole, or slice them up for tacos, chilis, salads, burgers, and more!
