Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
  • 1 Tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (fresh cracked)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the grill. Preheat your grill to 425 degrees F.

  2. 2

Make the dry rub. Combine all dry rub ingredients in a small bowl, then stir to blend.

  3. 3

Prep the wings. Pat the wings dry and spray or drizzle the chicken wings with avocado oil and then season on all sides with the dry rub.

  4. 4

Grill the chicken wings. Place the chicken wings directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and grill them for 15-20 minutes, flipping every 3-5 minutes to prevent burning and to crisp the skin. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 175 degrees F.

  5. 5

Serve and enjoy. Remove the wings to a serving platter, serve with your favorite dipping sauces, and enjoy!
